EcoVent Composter: A Revolutionary Approach to Waste Management

EcoVent Composter provides a practical, scalable solution for transforming wet waste into valuable compost. It is designed for medium-to-large users like communities, restaurants, and industrial sites. Patent status: Patent applied.

Product Description

The EcoVent Composter combines solar power, aeration, and robust materials to create an effective composting environment:

Durable, Solar-Absorptive Build: Constructed from metal the body captures solar heat to dry wet waste. This prevents unwanted moisture and speeds up decomposition, producing nutrient-rich compost in just 45 to 60 days. Also, solar water can be circulated to aid drying of waste.

Aerated Mesh Structure: EcoVent’s octagonal shape and mesh system allow continuous airflow throughout the compost, preventing odors and insect issues common in other systems.

Leachate Drainage: A bottom drainage valve collects leachate, creating compost tea ideal for plants and easy to collect.

Protective Components: A sloping strip above the mesh shields it from heavy waste additions, and an external framework further enhances solar absorption. The lower slopes help descendence of waste

Optional Pest Control: Includes a powder-filled bowl to resist ants and insects, keeping compost production smooth and pest-free.

How It Works

EcoVent relies on vented airflow to create optimal composting conditions without external energy sources.  For additional drying the waste solar hot water can be circulated. The natural ventilation evaporates moisture, and waste shrinks as it decomposes and settles in the composter, the collection window is given at the bottom for easy collection. Compost can be generated from green and brown wet waste

Why Choose EcoVent?

Cost-Efficient: Zero external energy needed, saving on operational costs.

Revenue-Generating: Compost sales can  bring income, with prices ranging from INR 20 for bio-compost to INR 30 for vermicompost, and INR 1000 per kg for earthworms.

Sustainable Design: Solves waste at the source, minimizing transport and reducing emissions.

Job Creation: Manufactured from locally available materials, creating jobs in fabrication, assembly, and maintenance.

FAQs

1. What is the EcoVent Composter?

EcoVent is an aerated composter designed for efficient wet waste processing at medium-to-large scales. Ideal for communities, restaurants, and industries, it transforms organic waste into compost with minimal maintenance.  For drying the waste solar water can be circulated. Patent applied.

2. How does EcoVent work?

The EcoVent’s design ensures aerobic decomposition through continuous airflow. Waste shrinks and settles in the composter, the collection window is given at the bottom for easy collection. The leachate (vermitea or compost tea) is drained through a valve and can be collected from the bottom of the unit.

3. Why is EcoVent necessary?

Urban areas generate vast amounts of wet waste, often sent to landfills. EcoVent tackles this problem at the source, creating compost on-site, reducing environmental impact, and contributing to local soil health. It helps citizens tackle the untimely waste collection issues

4. How does EcoVent generate income?

EcoVent’s compost output can be sold: bio-compost at INR 20/kg, vermicompost at INR 30/kg, and earthworms at INR 1000/kg. This provides an income stream for users, helping communities and businesses monetize waste.

5. How does EcoVent contribute to local employment?

EcoVent units are made from locally sourced materials, creating jobs in manufacturing and assembly. Additionally, ongoing opportunities in composting and sales support local entrepreneurship.

6. Is EcoVent customizable?

Yes, EcoVent can be adapted in size and output to meet specific needs, from small community setups to larger facilities.

7. What are EcoVent’s maintenance requirements?

EcoVent is designed for low maintenance. The durable body and simple drainage system make it easy to manage and clean, and the compost can be collected with minimal effort after every 4 to 6 months. EcoVent has a daily capacity of 10 kg to 40 kg waste intake.

8. How much space does EcoVent require?

EcoVent has a compact, vertical design, fitting easily into a variety of spaces. Options range from small units for individual buildings to larger units for communities or commercial sites. Size dimensions from 10 sq ft to 40 sq ft for 10 kg to 40 kg capacity.
